The Fine Print.
Actually Readable.
What this site collects and why.
Stevie J Travel Publishing (“we,” “us,” “Stevie J”) operates steviejtravel.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have under applicable law — including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
This policy applies to all visitors, subscribers, customers, and backers who interact with steviejtravel.com. If you have questions, the contact information is at the bottom of this page.
Most privacy policies are written to be unreadable on purpose. This one isn’t. If something in here doesn’t make sense, contact us — the attorney who runs this site would rather explain it than hide behind it.
What we collect — and what we don’t.
Information you give us directly:
- Name and email address when you subscribe to the Weekly Drop
- Name, email, phone, and message content when you contact us
- Payment information when you purchase a guide (processed by Stripe — we never see your card number)
- Email address when you sign up for campaign notifications
Information collected automatically:
- Pages visited, time on site, and click events via Google Analytics 4
- Browser type, device type, and approximate location (country/region level only)
- Referral source — how you found us — including UTM parameters on campaign links
- Cookie data (see Section 04 — Cookies)
What we do NOT collect: We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, precise GPS location, or biometric data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
California residents: your rights under CCPA.
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- Right to Know: You may request a copy of the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Right to Opt-Out: You may opt out of the sale of your personal information — though we do not sell personal information
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@steviejtravel.com. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.
CCPA applies to businesses that collect personal data from California residents. We comply. If you’re a California resident and want to exercise any of these rights, just ask. The process is straightforward and the response time is legally mandated.
Cookies: what they are and what we use them for.
This site uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — for the following purposes:
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4): Tracks page views, events, and traffic sources. Anonymized. No personally identifiable information stored in GA4 cookies.
- Advertising (Meta Pixel): Tracks conversions and enables future ad targeting if we run campaigns. You can opt out via Meta’s privacy settings.
- Functional: Remembers your preferences (e.g., filter settings in the guide catalog). These are first-party cookies that expire when you close your browser.
- Session: Standard WordPress session cookies. Required for the site to function. Cannot be disabled without breaking functionality.
The cookie consent banner on this site allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Declining will disable GA4 and Meta Pixel cookies. Functional and session cookies remain active as they are required for basic site operation.
